Account Bank has an annual management retreat where managers present the role their departments have played in the success of the business to the board of directors. The meeting is usually a nerve-racking affair and it is not uncommon for managers to be demoted or asked to resign after these sessions. Their departments are usually either dissolved or reorganized thereafter. This annual "retreat" is essentially an opportunity to defend your job. The argument of the board is that they want to be sure that, not only are all units being led by managers who know what they are doing, but that each function makes a positive and practical contribution to corporate growth.
Question:
(1) You are to attend this years "conference". Defend the role of "training" in the success of the business.
