Photocopy Philosophy

PHOTOCOPY PHILOSOPHY

The photocopier enabled the duplication of documents. The principle of the copier however finds wide application in business today. companies compete to duplicate successful business. They replicate successful business or become distributors of the successful business. This approach to business stifles industry and growth because development is dependent on the source model and not on situation or circumstances. Nothing new is developed - it is simply photocopied. The photocopy principle not only kills production, but also kills ideas, thinking creativity and enterprise. Architects copy plans, writers copy essays, musicians copy songs, and consultant photocopy proposals and presentations. Not thought or added value goes into these documents apart from the energy used to photocopy them. The photocopier, much as it is a grand machine, does not produce anything new. It actually reproduces all the errors on the paper too.
