Allan Bukusi is a strategic thinker, leadership consultant, trainer and writer with over two decades’ experience serving multiple corporate organizations. His skills, knowhow and experience are useful for board appointment, leadership & governance assignment, institutional administration, business development, professional contracting, corporate training, university teaching, research and publishing. He has conducted assignments in Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, and Mozambique and India. His expertise is drawn from academic education, professional training and exposure to global and local business organization in multiple industries including; manufacturing, services, banking and hospitality among others. His entrepreneurial, hands-on-teamwork approach to resolving strategic organization challenges is based on his preference for transformative leadership practice as a key to organization success. He has written over a dozen books on leadership and management topics, numerous articles and several academic journal papers. His personal mission to facilitate the establishment of vibrant, ethical, sustainable socio-economic enterprise across Africa.
Allan has engaged as consultant, board member, CEO, lecturer and entrepreneur. He was the founding CEO of Corporate Business Leadership Centre at PAC University, Team leader of AWARD Trainers drawn from 23 nationalities working in 11 African countries, Chair of the Academic committee of the Daystar University Council, adjunct lecturer at Ashesi University Ghana presenting the Leadership Seminar series and teaching Organization Behaviour, CEO of the Professional Trainers Association of Kenya, PTAK, director, MDI - a consulting and publishing firm and Africa Leadership & Social Development Centre, dedicated to developing godly and ethical leadership for Africa. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resources Management IHRM and a Member of the College of Human Resources Management (CHRM).
Allan’s core consulting competencies developed over 300 corporate assignments include; workshop facilitation, training management and administration, developing leadership teams, strengthening managerial skills, equipping staff with soft skills, aligning staff performance with strategic business goals, training trainers, leading corporate transformation, strategy development and implementation and organization change. Allan began his career as an accounts clerk in a government office before moving to teach and coach rugby in high school for several years. He worked as a training manager for KHI Training, human resources consultant for KPMG, training coordinator for Firestone EA before establishing MDI Consulting.
