The Dotconomy

The Dotconomy

Every generation brings its shade and shine to human existence around the globe. A new generation is about to change the way things are done around here. The economy is undergoing major transformation and the next wave of  development will be engineered by dotcomers; short for those who are familiar with the internet, but more specifically knowledgeable with computers as a work tool (as opposed to a pen or hoe). Many have already taken over boardrooms and founded their own companies as they position themselves to make the big push. They will create such a unique effect on the world economy that it will be given its own name, the "dotconomy".

In dotconomy, many standard features of the economy change. Things that were prized in the economy will pass away and find new expression in the dotconomy. Stability is a mainstay of economy. Dotcomers prefer instability to advance. The economy offered long term employment. Current conditions favour multiple jobs and  "working from home". Big business dominated the economy, Small business now leads the dotconomy. The economy thinks long term. The dotconomy thinks short term; get in-get it and get out fast. The economy runs courses on change management, the dotconomy manages change naturally. In the economy, institutional services are preferred over independent providers. In the dotconomy independents provide all required services. The economy needs information. The dotconomy has all the information it needs.
