Employ yourself first

To be an entrepreneur you must learn to be a good employee, because you will have to employ yourself first.

Yesterday is the last day.

This day I make a commitment to no more entertain negative attitudes, naysayers or gossips. Gossip is talk that does not advance my neighbor. To expect this of myself is not to entertain it in others. Thus parasites, leeches and those encumbered by the victim mentality that have prayed on my sympathy have had their say. The price I have paid to these luminaries has kept me from my goals. Yesterday is the last day they earned any pay. From today they must all give way.

Dreams don't need talent!

I am not gifted nor very talented. Neither am I brave or very strong. But one thing I do without fail -I take every opportunity I get to move my dreams ahead.

Between aspiration and motivation, choose to aspire!

There is a difference between motivation and aspiration. Motivation is limited to short term reward. Aspiration is to reach for greater things, to develop yourself to be and become better at what you do. It is to be patient, deliberate and purposeful in life! Motivation says; pay me for the work you want done. Aspiration says; I am willing to work for my pay. To aspire is greater than all the motivation you desire. Motivation may help you achieve something in life, but to aspire will enable you to make something of life.

The head or the heart?

While it may be true that the head must rule over the heart, it seems to me that if you do not make room for the heart you will have a very unhappy life.
