Allan D. M. Bukusi

Leadership trainer, management consultant & author


Allan is an independent leadership trainer, management consultant and author with a passion to see Africa transformed into a vibrant, ethical, sustainable, socio-economic enterprise. He has worked with more than 200 organizations, touching the lives of employees through training programs and his books on leadership, management and personal empowerment topics.

Allan works with medium to large local and international organizations to develop leadership teams, strengthen organization management competence, implement performance management systems and design corporate strategy. He helps clients frame organization challenges and design programs to improve employee performance. His unique expertise is drawn from wide consulting exposure in multiple industries including; manufacturing, services, banking and hospitality among others. He has held various institutional management and social leadership roles alongside his experience as an entrepreneur, CEO and company director.

Allan has an MA Leadership (Business & Entrepreneurship), Post Grad. Dip in Education,  BSc (Physics) and professional training HR (IHRM Fellow, 2010) and Business Administration.  His pioneering engagement as the founding CEO of the Corporate Business Leadership Centre (CBLC) at PAC University established a bridge between university education and social enterprise. As the founding CEO and later Chair of the Professional Trainers Association of Kenya (PTAK) he sought to establish an international ethical body of training professionals. He is currently the lead consultant and CEO of Management Decision Information, director of Africa Leadership & Social Development Center, The Leadership Academy Kenya and member of Daystar University governing council.

Allan has worked with international multi-disciplinary consulting teams to design and deliver client programs in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique and India attended by participants from around Africa and other parts of the world. As a Stanford Seed Consultant, Allan mentors businesses to align strategy and human resources development in different parts of the world.

He is the author of How to lead Corporate Transformation. His other books address practical approaches to leadership, management skills and personal development principles. The books draw knowledge from enterprise, corporate exposure and professional perspectives with practical, mind of an investor insight.
